Carolyn Duffy, INVESTMENT PROFESSIONAL


Carolyn is a principal at Ignition. She invests in software and infrastructure companies.

Carolyn is a Director on the board of Teranode Corporation

Prior to Ignition, Carolyn spent five years at Microsoft, most recently, as the Director of Worldwide Business Strategy, where she was responsible for business and pricing strategies for Microsoft's core products - Windows 2000, Office and BackOffice. At Microsoft, she also was responsible for building the Visual Studio and Microsoft Developer Network businesses. Those business grew $30 million to $200 million in revenue during her tenure.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Carolyn worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and as a mergers and acquisition analyst at Lazard Frères in New York.

Carolyn received her MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School where she was named a Baker Scholar for graduating in the top 5% of the class. Carolyn received her A.B degree in Social Studies with magna cum laude honors from Harvard College.
